Since 1939 when Fredrick Campbell Workman JR. open the Restaurant with his younger brother along side opened this amazing place, They made history in the town of Coshocton. Fred was know for his home made pie's, and Charlie for his humor. Later down the road, Son of Fred, Robert Campbell Workman become the cook years later. By mid 90's, the staff was made up of Fred: Owner/Baker, Charlie: Manager/waiter, Robert: Head Cook, Jason: Assit cook/bus boy, Francis: Assit Manager/Everything. We are all Family. In 2006 the Restaurant closed down after 60+ years of greatness.

I recently had foot surgery and will be immobilized for a month. I will have time to get some posting done, while recovering. I hope you are having a good day.
Sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I started back to school doing volunteer work and then today I got sick at school and came home early. I think it's just a bad headcold or something that's going around at school, since a student went home sick, too. I will try to do better after Labor Day. Have a good day

Today would've been Fred & Catherine's wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary in Heaven dad & mom! We love & miss you <3 <3 <3
Margaret "Ruth" Halpin, has gone on to join Fred, Charlie, Frances, Martha, and Raymond on May 11th. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at South Lawn Cemetery on May 25th. We will miss her. <3

Welcome to May! I remember how the restaurant got ready for the Dogwood festival and that this month would have been Dad's 98th birthday. Miss you Dad.

I thought of the restaurant last night; we had soup beans and cornbread for dinner. What was your favorite meal from the restaurant?
I am going to try to remember what day each special was on; Monday, soup beans, ham, corn bread and scalloped potatoes, Tuesday, meatloaf, Wednesday, Johnny Marzetti, Thursday, liver & onions, Friday, chicken & noodles over homemade biscuits, and Saturday, baked swiss steak. If anyone can remember anything else on the menu, let us know. Charlie made the soups and side dishes; such as, macaroni salad and cole slaw. Majority of our food was made from "scratch"; all homemade. That's why everything tasted so good!
Can anyone remember some of the specials, Workman's Restaurant served?
I don't know about you, but I've had it with this weather! If it was December, I wouldn't mind at all! LOL!
I may have asked this before; but, with baseball season upon us, what was the name of the baseball team uncle Charlie would go out of town to see?
